Relocation Guide
What out-of-state buyers actually need to know about Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Chapel Hill — and how to pick the right suburb.
A few of the Triangle's most-requested neighborhoods.
Hasentree
Hasentree is a private, gated luxury community wrapped around a Tom Fazio signature course in north Wake Forest. Estate-scale homes sit on wooded, rolling lots with strong architectural standards and a resort-grade clubhouse at the core of the neighborhood.
MacGregor Downs
MacGregor Downs is one of the Triangle's original golf neighborhoods, tucked into mature hardwoods along Lake MacGregor in west Cary. The homes span several generations of architecture — from updated mid-century ranches to new custom builds — and the club remains the social center of Cary.
Prestonwood
Prestonwood stretches across 54 holes of championship golf — The Highlands, The Meadows, and The Fairways — in the heart of Cary. It is the largest private club in the Triangle and a cornerstone of the west side's relocation scene.
Numbers matter.
Context matters more.
Every community has a story the data almost tells. Jeff's job is to translate — so you know whether a slower market means opportunity or warning, and what $650k actually buys in Wake Forest versus Cary.

A better way to live — not a smaller one.
The Triangle has become one of the most-requested 55+ destinations in the country — for the golf, yes, but just as much for the walkability, the healthcare, and the activity calendar. Jeff helps buyers compare them side by side.
Compare 55+ CommunitiesCarolina Arbors runs on activity. There are over 100 resident-led clubs — from bocce to woodworking to travel — and the amenity center is busy from sunrise yoga to evening line dancing. Homes are designed for aging in place without feeling clinical.
Learn more →The community feels more urban than most 55+ options: it's walkable to Amberly's retail and minutes from downtown Cary. Residents join groups, volunteer widely, and book tee times at neighboring clubs.
Learn more →A 30-minute call that will save you six months of guessing.
No pressure, no pitch. Jeff will ask what kind of day you want to live, talk through 2–3 communities that fit, and send a follow-up with the data to prove it.
